Collect the Fitted Surfaces Into Complex Based On C0 Continuity

چکیده
Surface reconstruction addresses the problem of creating a surface model from a point set digitized from a physical object. After performing the surface fitting on the bases of individual patches (adjacent surfaces), it is necessary to improve the obtained results by connecting the adjacent surfaces according to the desired smoothness. This paper presents a fast method for collecting the adjacent surfaces into complex based on C continuity. The method works with the surfaces and their segments. Firstly, an arbitrary surface is selected, and the points with closest distances to that surface are extracted. Then, the points are sorted according to the Euclidean distance to the surface. Finally, the surface and the sorted points are joined together and presented to a refitting technique. This technique includes a procedure to decide if the data is similar to the current surface and for updating the surface parameters for each new point.

Analysis of Laminated Soft Core Sandwich Plate Having Interfacial Imperfections by an Efficient C0 FE Model
An efficient C0 continuous two dimensional (2D) finite element (FE) model is developed based on a refined higher order shear deformation theory (RHSDT) for the static analysis of soft core sandwich plate having imperfections at the layer interfaces. In this (RHSDT) theory, the in-plane displacement field for the face sheets and the core is obtained by superposing a globally varying cubic displa...

متن کاملOptimal multi-degree reduction of triangular Bézier surfaces with corners continuity in the norm L2
This paper derives an approximation algorithm for multi-degree reduction of a degree n triangular Bézier surface with corners continuity in the normL2. The new idea is to use orthonormality of triangular Jacobi polynomials and the transformation relationship between bivariate Jacobi and Bernstein polynomials. This algorithm has a very simple and explicit expression in matrix form, i.e., the red...

Understanding an architectural space, by being attendance in that space and experiencing it closely, becomes a part of that space, watching it and moving in it. The attendance of man as the main resident or consumer of architectural space is also a two-way relationship between the human world and his space. The attendance of people gives character to public spaces and strengthens the character ...
متن کاملA comparison of C0 and G1 continuous curved tetrahedral meshes for high-order finite element simulations
This paper examines the effect of curved boundary continuity on finite element simulations. Quartic C0 continuous and G1 continuous meshes with curved boundaries are created from CAD geometry. These C0 continuous and G1 continuous surface triangles are constructed using Bézier triangles and triangular Gregory patches respectively. Curved tetrahedra are constructed using a shape blending with te...
